How do you view the 2026 FIFA World Cup from a professional perspective?

We generally see the 2026 World Cup as a good sales opportunity, although more differentiated than previous tournaments. The framework conditions, especially the kick-off times, mean that many projects are being planned on a smaller scale and with stricter economic considerations. Therefore, it is more of a selective opportunity than a guaranteed success.

What are the biggest uncertainties from your perspective when planning?

For many customers, the late kick-off times raise questions about how many visitors will actually attend. This uncertainty directly creates the challenge of calculating events in an economically viable way. In addition, we are noticing a general reluctance in the market.

Do you expect short-notice bookings or changes to play a greater role during this World Cup?

Yes, we expect significantly more last-minute decisions than during previous tournaments. Much will depend on how the tournament develops, how Germany performs, and at what times the knockout matches take place. As a result, flexibility and availability are more important than ever, and as a service provider we are very well prepared for this, including through our private viewing packages at Party.Rent.

Are there certain matches or formats where you still see strong potential?

We clearly see the greatest potential in Germany matches, especially if they take place at more attractive European times. Public interest generally increases as the tournament progresses. In addition, smaller and more targeted formats, such as private viewing parties, are becoming increasingly important.
