The new strengths of the serving trolley in detail

The range of serving trolleys has grown. Now, thanks to new options, the versatile transport aids can be customised even more specifically to different requirements. But what are the benefits of shelf reinforcing profiles and railings in everyday use? What are the advantages of the heavy-duty model? And how easy is the assembly really? Our product expert Fredy Bauer provides answers.

With the product update, the focus has shifted even more to the heavy-duty model of the serving trolleys. It replaces the previous models with welded-in gusset plates. "Our intensive tests have shown that the heavy-duty model is at least as sturdy, and it even has a higher total load-bearing capacity," explained Fredy Bauer.

The figures speak for themselves:

  • 2-shelf trolleys: 160 kg total load-bearing capacity (instead of 140 kg for the gusset plate version).
  • 3-shelf trolleys: 200 kg total load-bearing capacity (instead of 140 kg or 160 kg).

A further advantage: The heavy-duty model can be combined with the popular optional panelling, including doors, in 12 attractive B.PRO colours – ideal for hygienic and visually appealing use in the front areas.

The shelf reinforcing profile: 10 kilogrammes extra per shelf

The new shelf reinforcing profile increases the loading capacity of each shelf by 10 kilogrammes. "This is particularly useful when there is more weight at certain points – for example, in a delivery situation with heavy meat crates or crates of drinks," said Bauer. The total load-bearing capacity of the trolley remains unchanged.

The railing: improved safety during transport

New accessories include 3-sided and 4-sided railings, which reliably protect glasses, bottles, trays and other items from falling during transport.

  • 3-sided railing: one long side remains open – ideal for conveniently loading heavy crates, for example.
  • 4-sided railing: provides all-round protection and secures the transported items from all sides.

"The transported items not only remain securely in place, but are also clearly visible. You can see at a glance what belongs where," added Fredy Bauer.

Assembly in minutes

All new accessories are supplied ready for assembly and can be fitted without specialist expertise. The shelf reinforcing profile can be positioned under the desired shelf and fixed in place with a screw; a ten mm spanner is all you need. The railings are simply hooked in and screwed tight. The add-ons are ready for use in just a few simple steps.

Simply retrofit flexibly

Both the shelf reinforcing profile and the railings can be retrofitted, even on older trolley models. "This gives users maximum flexibility. If requirements change, an existing trolley can also be easily adapted," said Fredy Bauer.

Practical tip and more quality features

The product specialist recommends distributing the load as evenly as possible, even if exact centring is not required. "It's like a car: A balanced load is always better for driving comfort."

Meanwhile, many clever design features ensure a positive user experience: The edges of the shelves are rolled and welded at the corners, which increases stability. The bevels all round prevent liquids from overflowing immediately. Four steerable castors ensure high manoeuvrability, even in narrow kitchen areas.

Ready for any application

Whether in food distribution, guest service or material transport: With the heavy-duty design, the shelf reinforcing profile and the new railings, B.PRO offers its customers even more options for customising their serving trolleys to their specific conditions of use.
